For my first post, I am delighted to be able to share this wedding dress that I made for my dear friend M!
She initially sent me an image of a 60's style dress - fitted bodice with a full, calf length skirt made of layers and layers of tulle.
After several consultations, the concept I came up with was beautiful in its simplicity... a sheath/cocktail dress, and a detachable tulle skirt.
Yes, this is definitely a wedding dress that will be worn again!

Here you can see the actual lace that was mounted onto a gold satin.
This photo shows the detachable skirt over the dress. The skirt consists of 10 layers of a creamy glimmer tulle - gorgeous!
All the fabrics were purchased from the most wondrous Tessuti!
